2nd Annual Police Motorcycle Roundup

Mark your calendars and come out to watch our officers ride their motorcycles.  Coppell Traffic is excited to host the 2nd  Annual Coppell Motorcycle Roundup.  This competition is open to Police Officers only, however the general public is invited to come out and watch this amazing event.

The Benefit Date:       Saturday 27th of March 2010
The Benefit Place:      Andy Brown Park East, 260 East Parkway Blvd

There will be food, exhibits, a silent auction and FUN for the whole family.

2nd Annual Police Motorcycle Roundup - Officer Info

Coppell Police Motorcycle Skills Competition March 25 – 27, 2010

Track Information:

  1. The track will be open for practice at 8:00am on Thursday, March 25 and will close at 5:00 pm.
  2. The track will re-open at 8:00am on Friday, March 26.
  3. The slow race will take place Friday afternoon. The individual event will take place Saturday. No practice will take place on Saturday before the competition. The four man event will take place during the individual event. The “Coppell Challenge” will take place following the individual event.

 

Lunch will be provided for the officers on both training days along with drinks and refreshments throughout the competition. The awards presentation will commence immediately following the competition on Saturday. During the meal, many great prizes will be given to the competitors. All prizes, food, and drink are included in your entry fee.

We are pleased to announce that participating officers will receive 12 hours of TCLEOSE training credit.

Why has the Citizen's Police Academy - Coppell been Established?

The Citizen’s Police Academy (CPA) has been established to promote an understanding of the Coppell Police Department, its policies and procedures. Police Work is filled with many variables that require professional solutions. The goal is to reduce perceived suspicions and misconceptions by establishing mutual trust and cooperation between the police and the citizens of Coppell. The Citizen’s Police Academy presents an opportunity to promote civic awareness.

CPAC Classes

Classroom presentations, lectures, and hands-on experiences offer participants valuable insight into the day-to-day operations of the Police Department. Department employees receive direct feedback from members of each class. This two-way communication between police officers and the community furthers the effort to improve the quality of life for residential and business communities.

National Night Out 2008 Award Winner

The City of Coppell Recognized as Best National Night Out Program in the Nation for 2008!

The National Association of Town Watch (NATW) recognized the City of Coppell as the #1 ranked NNO program in the nation in our population category.  This is the second time that the City of Coppell has been ranked as #1 in the nation and the third consecutive year to be ranked #1 in the State of Texas.  It also marks the 17th straight year that Coppell has received an outstanding participation award from the NATW.
